How do I know which service my watch needs?
The service depends on the type of watch and its condition. A quartz watch with a flat battery or minor issues usually suits the Battery & Care service. A mechanical watch that has become unreliable in timekeeping is a candidate for the Full Service. Older or sentimental pieces that need more considered attention fall under Heirloom Restoration. If you are unsure, bring it in and we will advise you.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on most quartz and mechanical watches regardless of brand. Some high-end or highly technical movements may require specialist handling — we will let you know at the initial assessment if this applies.
How long does each service take?
The Battery & Care service is usually completed within a few days. A Full Service takes approximately three weeks. Heirloom Restoration work requires six to eight weeks, depending on the condition of the watch and any part sourcing needed. These are honest estimates — we keep you informed if anything changes.
Will you let me know the cost before starting work?
Yes. The service prices listed are the starting points for each service type. If additional parts or work are identified during assessment, we will contact you with a full account before proceeding. Nothing is done without your agreement.
Is my watch safe while it is with you?
Each watch is logged on arrival, stored securely, and handled individually throughout its time here. We take the responsibility of holding your timepiece seriously.
Can I send my watch by post or courier?
We prefer in-person drop-off when possible, as it allows us to examine the watch together with you. If you are outside the local area and would like to discuss sending your watch, please contact us first so we can advise on safe packaging and arrange receipt.
